A little about me

I graduated from Missouri S&T in May of 2021 with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. Since graduation, I had an internship with PACCAR working as an Advanced Powertrain Engineer. During my time at PACCAR, I had the opportunity to be a part of the Super Truck II project with the goal of a 55% brake thermal efficient engine.

At the completion of my internship with PACCAR, I accepted a full-time position with FEV as Diesel Engine Calibrator. In this position, I have had the opportunity to work through OBD demonstration and I am currently working on the model year 2024 6.6 liter Duramax engine. On the Duramax engine, I am responsible for all things dealing with air system calibration.

I have been on the Formula SAE design team on campus since my first semester. During my first semester, I started out doing oddball projects. In my sophomore year, I took on the role of cooling project engineer. In this role, I was in charge of the entire cooling system from design and manufacturing to testing and validation.

At the end of my sophomore year, I started a Co-op position with Fike Corporation in Blue Springs, Missouri. I was a part of the sustaining engineering group working on various projects, including part drawings/models and customer return reports.

In my junior year of school, I was nominated as the chief engineer of the Formula SAE team for the 2020-2021 season. As chief engineer, I was in charge of overseeing all the designs being implemented onto the car. As chief engineer, I took the steps necessary for the innovative transition to the team's first-ever carbon fiber monocoque chassis. This transition presented many challenges. During my time on the team, I spent all my free time working to overcome these challenges and get the team to a point that will allow them to excel at future competitions.
