The following is an outline of projects that I had the opportunity to work on during my time as an intern at PACCAR. Each project has provided an opportunity to learn, grow, and continue developing both as a person and a professional. Take a look to learn more.
BTE Validation
My time on the Advanced Technology group at PACCAR I had the opportunity to be apart of the Department of Energy Project "Super Truck 2" specifically I was apart of the engine group. A goal of 55% brake thermal efficient was set for the engine. I was in charge of crunching the data collected in the test cell to then compare to simulations and single cylinder engine data.
MATLAB script
I wrote a MATLAB script to take raw data from the test cell and perform high level calculations. The program included a user interface allowing the user to select the data and input any constants needed. Once the program completed all plots were added to a single pdf for easy viewing.
Test cell operations
In charge of ensuring testing was staying on track and creating a test schedule for major hardware changes. Kept inventory on hardware needed to support test cell operation. Acted as point of contact between technician and the rest of the team.
